In the third year of the GPE-Education Sector Program Implementation Grant, the Ministry of Education accomplished significant achievements. The GPE-ESPIG has contributed to:
1. Inclusive teaching and learning materials to deliver the competency-based curriculum for all students.
2. Increased participation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects from pre-primary to lower secondary education.
3. Development of teachers' capacity in English, Inclusive Education methodology, and a Play-based approach.
4. Expansion of science laboratories and resource rooms.
A special focus was on supporting foundational learning by providing age-appropriate teaching and learning materials to ECD centers and by training preschool teachers. As a result, many children are now accessing ECD centers.
