It’s possible that the habyara succession has stopped pursuing the payment (not that they need it anyway). In this case the insurer hasn’t paid and will not do so until the dispute between the 2 parties is adjudicated. If the defendants fail to present their defense in court by a set deadline, then the court should issue a default judgment for the plaintiffs and direct the insurer to pay them. Otherwise the insurer will presumably give the sum to company shareholders as a windfall dividend.
